Structural Fire Fighters

Successful students will earn Fire Fighter I & II certification from the Arizona State Fire Marshal Office.

All classes are taught from 7:00 - 9:00 AM Monday - Friday during the regular school year.  There may be additional days taught on a few Saturdays and  in the summer.

This certificate in Fire Science will provide students two important certifications in field of fire fighting:

   * Fire Fighter I & II prepares you to work as a volunteer or    paid fire fighter in town/city fire departments

   *  Wild Land certification prepares you to work as a paid fire fighter for the United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, or other Wild Land fire agencies

Fall Semester

FSC 101   Fire Department Operations 1                     6 Cr

EMT 122  First Aid and CPR                                       2 Cr

FSC 150  Basic Wildland Firefighting                           3 Cr

Spring Semester

FSC 102  Fire Department Operations II                      5 Cr

FSC 106  HazMat First Responder                              2 Cr

FSC 155  Advanced Wildand Firefighter                       3 Cr

Please note: Spring semester may extend into June to allow students to complete all certification requirements. 6 Saturdays will also be required.

Wild Land Fire Fighters

Students who successfully complete this program will be certified wildland fire fighters - qualified to work for federal fire agencies such as US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management
