Summer Programs 2008


Health Academy students will learn about professions in the medical field.

Challenge Academy: This Academy is designed for students who are one or more credits behind in their high school graduation plan.  Students will take CMP 101 Introduction to Computers (3 credits), Orientation to Student Success (1 Credit), and Job-Seeking Strategies (2 Credits).  This Academy will be taught from June 30th   — August 1st  from 8 AM—12 noon. Health Academy: This one day workshop (June 17th or 19th) is designed for 9th and 10th grade students in the 2008-2009 school year.  Students must register for the workshop before they can be admitted to the program. Students will be able to get a look at many health related occupations during this half day at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center.  GIFT will provide lunch for the students.  Students will have to furnish their own transportation to the hospital at 8:00 AM and back home at 12:30 PM after lunch.  REGISTRATION IS ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS DEPENDENT ON AVAILABLE SPACE.  STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT REGISTERED WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE.  Click here to sign up!

Regular Eastern Arizona College 2008 Summer Sessions Returning GIFT students may take as many GIFT approved CTE courses as they want during the summer sessions.
